I Have to agree with mmorpq. Doesn't make sense to play a queen high when BB has under 700 in chips on the bubble.

Re: PS $3.4 Str8 and Flush draw and overcard
I call preflop with a careful mindset. I call the flop as well in the hopes the BB comes along + pot odds/chance at a free turn.
The turn is pure balls. But a courageous bluff often looks nearly identical to reckless spew, and I'm inclined to side with the latter in this case. |

Re: PS $3.4 Str8 and Flush draw and overcard
Not great calling with a shortstack to act behind you, whats your plan if he pushes all in and one of the other players call.
Now youve hit a good flop and discounting the Q as an overcard you still have 11 outs. Calling that flop is ok if you feel you can extract another 400 by the river if you hit the flush or straight on the turn. If your willing to get pot committed on the blank turn then i would be check raising the flop and calling an all in instead. Of course the BB is nearly out but im willing to get all in with this hand all day here, if you win the all in your in a great position to win 1st here and you should be looking to win not just get ITM. After all its very possible that you have 14 outs here but im sure 11 have a very good chance of holding up and theres 1000 in the pot on the flop and pushing would give you massive Folding Equity with the BB about to bust. As played id check call the turn in hope of getting a free or cheap look at the river. Dont see why you would want to fold the flop here though. Guess that post about going pro is coming back to haunt you considering some of the replies above lol |

Guess that post about going pro is coming back to haunt you considering some of the replies above lol [/ QUOTE ]Not really. I didn't post my hand to get patted on the back. I have to accept honest criticism if I want to improve my game. Ego is a big hindrance to being a good player. My friend thought that I should have shoved on the flop. I wanted to see what everyone else said. |

your turn bet stinks of a bluff. Check raise flop or lead at flop and turn.
