Electric Orange ING checking
Looks pretty good. If you have over 100k in there you get 5.3% APY which is a very good rate and you get the benefits of having of it being a checking account rather than just a savings account. You cant get paper checks for it which sucks but still something to think about. Heres the link. ING's

you don't need paper checks. Keep them with your brick&mortar bank, (like 250-500 dollars)

I use ING checking along with a free BofA checking account that I deposit checks into.

[/ QUOTE ] Well I have a lot of expenses and I want to keep some cash liquid as I am looking into a house sometime this year possibly and I would need the $ for the downpayment. Obviously I wouldn't let it sit there for years. |

Keeping 100k in a high-yield account doesn't make anyone an idiot. I can think of plenty of reasons for wanting that liquidity (like buying a house in the near future).

I think Etrade is 5%+ without having to maintain a minimum and you have a wide range of investment opportunities.
