Re: Which 22 yr old? Timmy or Bird
[ QUOTE ]
truly great scorers can poor in a ton of points without f'ing up the team. That's Jordan, that Abdul-Jabbar, that's Bird. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree. I think that if any of these players had Nash's passing and playmaking ability that they'd score a lot less and their teams would be even better. Its almost as if we're punishing Nash for being a great passer/playmaker. |

Re: Which 22 yr old? Timmy or Bird
we're not punishing him. That's a really misleading statement. It's only "punishment" if he is in fact a truly great scorer on par with the likes of Jordan, Bird, etc. Right now you're the only one who thinks that.
umm.. and Larry Bird was one hell of a playmaker. He was dishing out anywhere from 6 to 7 assists per game in a given season, while grabbing 10 boards and scoring 25+. |

Re: Which 22 yr old? Timmy or Bird
Assani,
The thing about your insane arguments is that you aren't just arguing that Nash deserves his MVP. You are saying stuff like this Nash is one of the top 30 players in NBA history. Nash could lead the league is scoring he just chooses not to. |

Re: Which 22 yr old? Timmy or Bird

Heres a list of perimeter players this year averaging over 2.0 offensive boards per game: Caron Butler 2.3 Josh Smith 2.2 Josh Childress 2.2 Carmelo 2.2 Marion 2.1 Theres probably a few more than average exactly 2.0, but the stats at yahoo.com cut off at 2.1 [/ QUOTE ] Every player mentioned is not a "perimeter" player. If someone can be effect inside and outside should they really be labeled one way or the other? |
