Default PS 180\'s good for learning?

I'm settin $400 of my broll to give learning MTT's a shot. Would playing the 180 man MTT's be a good tourney to stick with to learn and put in the amount of tourney's to learn? I plan on sticking with a 100 buy-in rule so i'd play the $4 untill i hit $1000 and then move to the $10 180's. Anyone not like this or is there a better plan? also I joined pokerXfactor and will be watching the MTT vid's quite a bit.
