Default Recommend a two night get-away

I want to go with my wife on a little 3-day 2-night get-away. We'll be flying out of Salt Lake City. Can't go out of the country because we don't have passports. Would like to go somewhere where it wouldn't be necessary to rent a car. I would like to keep it in a modest price range.

Has anybody gone somewhere recently that would suggest? or just know it would be good times to go to place X. Reasons for picking a place or things to do when we get there would be appreciated.

vegas sounds about right. maybe seattle but I dont know about the weather this time of year. Most places that are close to SLC you're going to need a car.

Go to Tahoe. Stay at the Avalon Inn in Tahoe. Use the money you saved on the room to rent a car. Rooms are really nice and affordable.

My GF and I went for a weekend to San Antonio last month and we had a ton of fun. One of the best times we've ever had for either of us.

I just set up a two night getaway in San Diego for the wife and I. Hopefully it will be fun. Chicago sounds good though.
