Re: The Shield 6.1 discussion thread
FYI, it is Kavanaugh, with a "K", not with a "C".

[ QUOTE ] Awesome episode. The only thing I don't like about this show is they never really followed up with Dutch strangling that cat. I was hoping he'd go all psycho serial killer. [/ QUOTE ] Didn't they? I thought he used that experience to catch a serial killer the following season. During the interrogation he described what its like to watch something die. If I remember correctly, Claudette was like WTF? D [/ QUOTE ] yes - loose end tied. |

By the way, anyone catch the "In Memory Of" Scott Brazil at the end? Does any one else recollect him playing the role of an armenian two seasons ago? He killed one of two sisters by stabbing her in the back of the neck? Anyone remember that..I'm almost positive that was Scott Brazil playing a role in the show. [/ QUOTE ] You may be thinking of Kurt Sutter, a writer and producer for the show who also played Margos Dezerian. Looks like this season he is now an executive producer. |

Re: The Shield 6.1 discussion thread
Just began watching season 1 - should I hold off on watching season 6? How related are the plot lines?

Re: The Shield 6.1 discussion thread
SPOILER ALERT - don't read if you haven't been watching regularly.
I'm sure a lot of Shield fans can't wait for Cavannaugh to go down, but what about Acaveda? In my mind he is the real worm on the show. Does anyone know what happened to the cell phone pics of Acaveda getting raped? I'm sort of hoping they surface at some point and wreck his political/police career. Be good, Augie |

very cool episode, although I think I'm done with Cavanaugh and his vendetta. It's not interesting to me - I'd rather get past this BS and on to better Strike Force stuff. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. This is exactly how I feel. Best show on TV by far. I can barely get into lost/heroes etc anymore. Only shows I look forward to are The Shield and High Stakes Poker. |

It's remarkable how intense Michael Chiklis can be. When he's pissed, his eyes look like their on fire. What's great is that you root for him, but know that he has to burn for his transgressions. A 21st century fallen angel. [/ QUOTE ] What's he going to do when he finds out who killed Lem? ... and you know he will. Good start to the season. |

What's he going to do when he finds out who killed Lem? ... and you know he will. Good start to the season. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this will be interesting. My prediction is that Dutch will be the one to take down Kavanaugh -- he'll simply sniff out Kav's planting of evidence and personal crusade, and Kav's arc should end as Dutch slaps on the handcuffs. That would be pretty damn cool actually. As for Vic and Shane, there will probably be a point at the end of the season when Shane confesses to Vic, and the two of them have it out once and for all. I don't want to see Shane die since he's one of the best characters (and actors) on television, but I can't see how he and Vic could stay together. Also, I have no clue how Vic is going to get around the retirement thing -- he probably has to clear his name and prove Kavanaugh dirty (ironically, Dutch may be the one to keep Vic on the force) and then get a favor from Claudette. |

Re: The Shield 6.1 discussion thread
Acevedo will be the one to get Vic out of the retirement jam. Vic will either find dirt on Acevedo or make a deal with him. Remember, there still might be a picture somewhere out there of Acevedo choking on a big fat cokc.
