What kind of stakes will side games be? When I get knocked out first (again), I want to know if it's worth my while to hang around. It'd be sexy to get big bet mixed rotation game going (NL/PL HE, PLO, PLO8, NL 2-7 single draw, etc.)

[/ QUOTE ]

Just the fact that you describe something to do with tomorrow other than SeaSiren as 'sexy' disturbs me.

I would imagine a 1/2 NL table, a 2/4 Mixed table and miscellaneous HU grudge matches mixed in for good measure.

I'm all for 2/4 PLO and PLO8 if it happens.

One great thing about the location I noticed last night: Bathrooms upstairs 5 feet from the tables.

They also have a bigscreen up there for Masters or Sox or whatever.

We officially have a nice set of chips for the main tourny too, which will be nice.

I played 2/4 dealer's choice last time; I'd never even played Razz before and did all right. If side games are nothing but 1/1 NLHE that's kind of not all that fun. If side games have badugi and triple draw and crazy pineapple and stuff like that, it's fun even at low stakes.

For the record, I've never played no-limit Kansas City lowball (single draw 2-7) before but have always wanted to. I'm sure one or more of you old-timers can take all my money pretty easily under those conditions.

Hmmm. Makes tonight's decision that much harder... Indian or Mexican food? Hope there's a backboard on that hopper.

27offsuit,
Please change my affiliate to "John N." For better or worse he has no affiliation with dcasper but I've played poker with him on multiple occasions incuding at my own house and he's never shanked anyone to my knowledge.

That's right, I forgot about that. Regardless, I invited him so I get his MGR right?

And yes, Waltham Greg is out.

How are we for cash game chips? I have a set of Paulsons good for a .25/.50 or .50/$1 NL game for those of us with shallow pockets.

Bring yer cash game chips. I have a set that's okay for 1/2 or 2/4 but they're cheapo Nexgens. There will probably be a few games going.
