Straight and flush draws on PartyPoker
I've been playing at PP since they upgraded their software; I've played probably a little under a thousand hands there. Since then I've had about ten straight and flush draws. That is to say, I've had a straight draw (gut-shot or open-ender) and a flush draw in the same hand, and had at least ten shots (turn and river counting each as one shot) to hit it. I haven't hit one. And I don't think I've even hit a pair on these draws. None of these have been straight flush draws, just a straight and a flush draw. So the odds of my not hiting any of these are about one in a hundred. And the odds of not hitting or pairing are well below that. I don't want to jump out and call shenanigans on PP, I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this phenomenon and so maybe it does have something to do with the software. (I've also had a couple pair and flush draws and missed both of those, for whatever that's worth.) Just to clarify, I've hit flushes, and I've hit straights, but if I have a draw that contains both, I've always missed (about 10 attemps at 37%ish a piece).

Re: Straight and flush draws on PartyPoker
Play 10,000 more then check your PT stats again.
Most of the time anyone with a big enough sample finds the real odds end up matching up with their stats history. Sorry to burst the rigged bubble. |

and you, my friend, are what I love about playing at party poker. Keep sawing wood, you'll hit one sooner or later.
Oh and what's your name? Might as well put you on my buddy list |

So the odds of my not hiting any of these are about one in a hundred [/ QUOTE ] I have no idea if your math is right...I don't really care In any case, the odds of getting pocket aces are about 1 in 220...But that still happens sometimes...1 in 220 times to be exact. If your math is correct, then your situation will happen sometimes too...1 in 100 times. If it DIDN'T happen 1 in 100 times, THAT would make the cards rigged |

Re: Straight and flush draws on PartyPoker
You are just one of at least 1,000 players on Party Poker to have been unfortunate enough to miss his or her last 10 straight and/or flush draws (assuming your math is correct). Welcome to poker....after you've played 100,000 hands, this won't seem like a big deal.

Re: Straight and flush draws on PartyPoker
I have a different problem. I hit 10 of 10 'straight & flush' draws and lost them all.
ENJOY! |

Re: Straight and flush draws on PartyPoker
No, Party did not start rigging the games with the new upgrades. The problem is that it's no longer rigged. Please allow some time for adjustment.
