Re: B&M 3/6 river value bet with set of 3s in huge pot
I think you should have checked the flop. Other than that, the hand is fine.

Re: B&M 3/6 river value bet with set of 3s in huge pot
When SB check/3-bets me on the flop I wouldn't cap (if I believe she has a hand, and isn't just being cool with a club draw). I'd just call for a couple reasons:
1) It puts maximum pressure on anyone drawing against us on the turn. Some people only think about the fact that it costs $12! to call, neglecting pot odds. 2) It gets more money in the pot if they decide to chase(which is a secondary concern in a pot this big). Plus, a hand like AA could 3-bet if he/she isn't that smart. I don't really like the river card, so I would just call down. |

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I've noticed two comments regarding "flop a set or fold"; with the pot already at 24 SB before the flop I think this is an easy one bet call on the flop without the set. [/ QUOTE ] closing the action with the 3 of clubs, i peel all day everyday even w/o set in this huge pot. [/ QUOTE ] This is a seldom-understood point by most of the people I play B&M 3/6 and 4/8 with. |
