Default B&M: $200+40: Can I get away from this?

Was at my local B&M playing a $200+40 multi-table tournament when this hand occurred.

First off, I’ve been moved to different tables 3 times already, and each time I made my self the captain and am know as a fairly loose player at this point. I’m at around 13k in chips from our starting 2500 without even seeing a turn or river card (I don’t know if that’s good or not). Blinds are at 300/600 with no antes. I believe I have the most chips at the table.

I’m in MP with AJo (I know this isn’t a strong hand, but I think I cant get the pot after flop c-betting if there are any callers)

I make it 2200 to go (standard raise at this table)

Guy behind me calls

SB calls, 3 players

(~7200 in pot) Flop: 774 rainbow

SB: check

Hero: bets 4k (so far, my c-bets are working 100%, weak players after flop)

Villain: Thinks for nearly 5 minutes saying “can’t believe you’re doing this again… you’ve done this to me too many times already…ect” Pushes All-in for 7200

It’s only 3200 more to me, I’m getting good odds to call, aren’t I? This guy is somewhat loose and has a huge ego apparently, but besides that I really don’t have a read on him. If I call and lose I have around 3500 left in chips. If I call and win I will be massive leader.

Hero…?

You are getting the proper odds to call... unless... this is an act by villian to try and induce a call holding a 7... I'm looking for a little more information and I'm probably going to try and start a dialogue with the villian before I make my decision... but default is a call given the pot odds...

I think your flop bet is bad

Into 2 people, one of which is reallly short and not folding a PP, im guessing.

Once you make the bet, you have to call, but the bet was bad in the first place, at least partly for this reason.

yes, anyway i knew that he was weak and made the call. he showed AQ and i was dominated. the one thing i didnt do was look at his stack size before i made the bet, live and learn i guess.

of course i asked myself that over and over when i was debating the call. but there was so much in the pot that if he had something like 1010 i was getting decent odds to call and try to spike a A or J on the next 2 cards to come. however if he had something like 1010, his chips would have been in the pot a lot sooner than it took him to get him in there.

I just told myself that i was c-betting the flop no matter what the texture is if sb checked it to me.

I mean that i am suppose to give up the hand by not c-betting? I felt like i had to c-bet.
