The real answer here is to find roommates to keep your costs down.

You should be able to share an apartment in a decent neighborhood for around $600-$700 a month. (possibly even wrigleyville)

Of course, you also have to factor in food, utilities, etc.

I would say the above posters are pretty close to the mark - around $20,000 would probably get you by.

The trick will be trying not to blow your money in the bars.
