50NL- TP facing huge 3bet on suited board
I have this villain at 25/24 and since we became 4 handed he has been opening almost every hand preflop. I wish I had 3 bet this preflop or folded. I also meant to raise to 9.5 which is probably a moot point. Anyways...

Re: 50NL- TP facing huge 3bet on suited board
You should not c/r in NL when it makes your further decisions harder, and it makes your opponents decisions easier. So if you think he will just call the c/r with worse, but not push unless ahead, then you can c/r and fold comfortably. But if he folds everything that you beat, and then pushes in with a mix of better and worst hands, then c/r isn't so good. You basically let him play correctly, and face a tough decision when he goes all-in. You should save c/r for your monsters or bluffs usually (especially when there is a lot of money behind). Again, don't c/r if you will have a tougher decision because of it.
Now saying that, I would c/r in this spot. But, I would then happily get it all-in against this player. You disguised your hand very well, and he will have a pair + FD or a worse Q often. Easy call. If you aren't sure what to do if he pushes, then just check/call the flop and see what develops on the turn. Or you can just lead the flop, although this is a dry enough board (despite the FD), so I don't mind picking up his c-bet before making a move. |
