Re: fill in the blank
I voted for Win them, but only because both was not an option, Just tonight I have had to defend the "avoid coin flips" fold scenario multiple times, you cant avoid them all together, that is just not realistic, but knowing when to take a coin flip trumps both of the choices in this poll...

But I can say that, in order to be a great tourney player, one must know that neither of the poll choices is a good answer. |

Re: fill in the blank
It wasn't big, but I've certainly FT-ed a field of 150 without showing down a hand. I can't remember if I had any flips to close it out.
Edit: well, I doubled up first hand but nothing more. |

Irrelevant. Winning big tourneys is not a requisite of being a good tourney player. Edit: And in the same manner, neither is winning coin flips. [/ QUOTE ]I beg to differ, a bad player can win a few tourneys but the better player will always win more given a large enough sample. And winning coinflips doesn't make you a good players but there often a necessity for reaching the FT. Perhaps not in every tourney but most of the times you will get into coinflips at least one time in a torney. |
