The BMI scale is retarded and doesn't take muscle into account at all.

[/ QUOTE ]
It also doesnt account for very large genitalia.

fatty

nah, FWIW I am 5'11'' 193 and farrrrrrrrr from obese. Just about every bodybuilder I know would be obese based on that scale. That scale has 155-160 the "normal" weight for my height which is ridiculous for any male who's not a twig.

but thinking about someone who should be 200 but weighs 240, that's pretty fat.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm about 235 in this pic and should be like 174 or whatever for 5'11".

It's not like little kids come up to me on the street and point while screaming "Mommy look at the fat man!".

Edit - Of course I need to lose some weight but when I think of "fat" I think of old Dids.

Brad,

The point isn't that you don't look super fat on the street or whatever. FWIW when I was like 40 or so lbs overweight I thought I carried it pretty well too. But you never carry it as well as you think (and I think you do carry the weight pretty well), and no matter how well you do carry it, you are still a big fatty.

I'm not saying this to be a jerk or anything, just speaking from experience. I'd say once you get fat enough to start developing stretch marks (which make me super sad ) it's time to do something about it. Seeing this and realized I was almost obese was what it took to get me going again.

Also like Alobar pointed out, it's kind of messed up that we don't think of "fat" until you get super huge, but you are technically obese (with all the health problems that entails) way before that.

George Clooney and Russell Crowe are Obese according to BMI...it is a useless chart. When I was 18, I weighed 195 (6' 1") with a 30 inch waist and was ripped...but BMI had me as "overweight" these stats are way skewed

Either you are pretty jacked, or you are obese, or some combination of pretty fat and jacked. Sorry!

JESUS CHRIST PEOPLE IF YOU ARE JACKED AS HELL OBVIOUSLY YOUR BMI IS GOING TO BE HIGHER THAN NORMAL, the test is for normal people not super muscular athletes. Obviously the only super accurate test is going to be a body fat percentage test, these are guidelines for the general public

I dislike most fat people also.

[/ QUOTE ]

Moderately fat people don't bother me. It's the ones that weigh 220 or more, and walk around like Kirby from Super Smash Bro's.

I'm 6'4 235 and am a competitive powerlifter. I am not fat. Spread your ignorance elswhere

Actually your sacred scale has me as "overweight." A friend of mine is 5'8 150, no fat, very little muscle and basically a pussy. Makes a whole lot of sense that we both use the same scale right? It doesn't make you any less of a twig by calling out people on the internets.
