this forum is filled with micronolimit setminers.

I'm disappointed Victor - I thought you'd at least tell him how to make a proper poll on this subject.

I'm pretty sure 70k puts you in the top 1% of WINNING players (players that had greater than $0 profit) on the year.

I'm pretty sure I suck based on the large number of mistakes I make every time I play. Just because I suck doesn't mean other people don't suck worse.

Once you get past the millionaire high-stakes types:

A lot of us suck the way Joey Harrington sucks at football.

A few more of us suck like a college basketball player who can shoot threes blindfolded and practices well but never plays in games.

Most of our opponents suck like they've never played a sport.

You would be much higher than 50% of all american workers if you made 70K from poker. If you are even a winning player you are in the top 10%

OP out of interest why did you retire? If I make 70k a yr I'm wanting that next year also, and then some.

I wanna make sure I enjoy my last month at Michigan. The problem is that even though I only play 15 hours/week, I prolly spend another 10 hours thinking about the [censored] game (eg- at dinner w/ friends I might review a hand in my head, or at the bar it might pop into my head, etc). I just wanna be poker-free for my last month.

Also to some other guy's question I saw--

I've made most of my money in the past year. I think I made 8kish in my first year when I was learning lots.

well i've always heard that even if you profit over 10,000 from online poker; then supposedly you're in the top 1 or 2% if you take ALL the players who deposit at least once into effect. But many players deposit 50 once and then quit forever. they count...
