op KK is not in your range because of your turn play I think. AA definitely is, this is like always AA.

[/ QUOTE ]
jba i agree that KK is significantly discounted from opponents perspective, but its not unheard of for players to flat call pushback on the turn and blow up on the river instead

if you bet, it's an easy fold to a c/r. that said, if he has anything other than TT i'd be shocked.

crossposted with high stakes...
30-60 during evening session... i have tight image at this point, sb is tag, mp+1 is lag...
mp opens, mp +1 call, I 3-bet AKs in hj , sb/bb/mp/mp+1 all call
flop: KT3 rainbow, checked to me, bet, sb raises, bb/mp fold, mp+1 calls 2 cold, i call...
turn: 2, (still rainbow), sb bets, mp+1 tries to get a read off of me then finally calls, i raise, sb 3-bets, mp+1 angrily mucks, i call
river: A, sb verbally checks and says 'go ahead and bet now that you got there' - i start to tank - he says 'oh man, look at this guy hollywood, just bet we all know you are going to'...
-typically this is an easy bet, except for the strange speech, how many bet/call, bet/fold, bet/3-bet, check...? (debate on flop/turn fine also thanks)

[/ QUOTE ]

You said that sb was a TAG, yet he called in the small blind after you 3 bet. Only hand I see him with based on the action is TT. I thought KQ perhaps, until he 3 bet you on the turn. Would he call preflop with something like KT suited in the sb after you 3 bet?

I just check on the river here because I can't put him on any hand other than TT, or AK just like you.

If it was a 4 bet cap I would not consider AK as he likely would have capped preflop. With the possibility of being rereaised he may just call 3 with AK.

Ya sorry I was talking specifically about KK. I discounted that AA only got there on the river. For KK, that line is jedi. for AA, I agree.

Would SB really check-raise the flop (shutting out the entire field) with TT? If he's really a good tag, I would expect him to play this hand for value and bet out the flop, hoping to trap everyone in between. Except for the PF, his hand really does look like KT.

That said, your hand looks so much like exactly what it is that betting the river may still be wrong.

this pot is now large and it's the only way to protect against gutters, and they still may call. i think it's fine.
