River is close I think. Once he called the flop I think we can narrow him down to an overpair if he is not totally retarded. On the river you win from 2 of those overpairs (88,99), and you lose to the the rest(77,QQ,JJ). By betting here you might be doing the valuebetting for villain. I'd say the chances are higher that he calls with the high spectrum of his range then that he does with the low end. Plus, he might be being super sneaky with 77. High cards won't call a bet anyway. Check seems nice.

nh. I think you're taking this down a lot on the river against 99/88...you could think about a smallish bet of maybe $40 but it's thin at best. I'd probably wuss out and check behind while playing.

I agree that you should raise bigger pre - pot-sized raise is $17.50 in this spot, and I think pot-sized raises are a good size for RRing in position preflop.
