Default 50 NL KK preflop

Sorry I don't have hand converter but it shouldn't be too bad to follow.

Background: 50 NL Villain has $65 and hero has him covered. My notes on him from a previous session say "overplays top pair". My image should be fairly tight. I usually bring it in for a raise pf but my flops seen is 19% and I havent reraised yet pf. In my 2 hours playing with him he has only raised pf about 3 times and they have all been min raises. I have never seen him reraise pf yet.

UTG min raises to $1.00, Hero reraises from UTG +1 to $4.00 with KK. Villain reraises to $14 from MP. UTG folds, Hero???.....

I'll post my action and the outcome of the hand after a few replies.

If you give him a 4betrange of AA, KK, QQ, AK; Hero is ahead of 14combos and behind 6.

If he has a tigher (and more standard @ 50NL) 4bet range of AA, KK & AK half of the time; Hero is ahead of 4 combos and behind 6.

Hero cannot push, as a worse hand is usually folding (AK will, QQ might); and better hands are calling (AA, obviously).

If you put him on the wider range, how about calling preflop and then check/folding the flop if an Ace flops, bet/folding if no Ace or King flops. Of course, you would have to be comfortable that this villain would fold to a $20 flop bet with QQ (and AK).

If you put him on the tighter range - let it go.

Wow, that sucks. Sho-hate it

BTW, I hate min-raisers! They should just go ahead and give away all of their chips!!! I guess in that case, I should love them!

If you are calling, what are you ahead of now?

When an unknown 4bets preflop in the $50 game, I put him on AA, KK, maybe QQ, and AK some times. When you are holding KK and you 3bet from UTG+1, his most likely hand by far is AA IMO. On this flop, you now only beat AK. So, can you call?

If we give him a range as above and say that he 4bets 2/3 of the time with QQ and 1/2 the time with AK. This equates to a weighted range of:-

AA - 6 combos
KK - 1 combo
QQ - 2 combos (2/3 of the 3 possible combos)
AK - 4 combos (1/2 of the 8 possible combos)

You are ahead of 4, behind 8 and tied with 1.
It's $51 to win $81 ($51 to win $15 if he has KK).

When he doesn't have the other KK -
You are losing 8 out of 12 = 2:1 underdog
You are getting 81/51 = 1.6:1 pot odds.

So, with this range, calling is -EV. Even when you add in the chance of a split (when you win $15) it's not enough to make it +EV. Villain also has 3 outs and you only have 1, if he has the AK.

I think this is a flop fold.
