Re: Music you like that\'s not considered great
I like pretty much all old delta blues stuff. Some of them are legends, some are relatively unknown.
Also, George Thorogood's overall catalog may be subpar, but he has some great songs. |

Re: Music you like that\'s not considered great
Liking music and thinking that it shows some sort of talent or artistic value are two completely different things. I don't think that any of the things that I'll list are evidence of musical perfection, but I like hearing them.
<ul type="square">[*]Tiny Tim[*]X-Japan[*]Namie Amuro[*]Nightwish[*]Yoko Takahashi[*]Two-Mix[/list] Actually, [censored] that. I think that Rhythm Emotion from Gundam Wing (one of the Two-Mix songs) is going to be my favorite song for another 12 years. |

Alice in Chains [/ QUOTE ] and someone else said Sublime. The title says "NOT considered great". Both these bands are considered some of the best by a lot of people. How about Danko Jones? Gotta listen to their full albums, they freakin rock. |

yeah i considered zevon a marginal addition to the list, i think a lot of people from my generation (in their twenties) don't really know who he is, and other than "Werewolves of London" he doesn't get any radio play [/ QUOTE ] I think Zevon and others aren't even close to being marginal for this list. You might as well start the list with something ridiculous like saying Rush wasn't critically acclaimed (...oh wait). Seriously, I think more than half the bands mentioned in this thread have been rather highly acclaimed by most music critics. |
