Liverpool and ManU will be the best matches because both teams are playing at an amazing level right now.

[/ QUOTE ]

Eh? Liverpool drew 0-0 with AV in the game before Arse, they lost 1-0 to the scum before that and lost 2-1 to Newcastle. Yea they beat SU 4-0 inbetween the scum and NC defeats but so what?

How exactly is Liverpool playing at an amazing level?

[/ QUOTE ]

FWIW, both Man U and Chelsea have won 7 EPL games in a row.

In the same stretch, Liverpool is 3-2-2.

[/ QUOTE ]

I point all who accuse Chelsea of being boring in the direction of the Liverpool Aston Villa game.

Quality is relative not cardinal.

Anyway Chelsea are not boring at all. They have had a season full of drama and thrills and spill. Liverpool on the other hand just grind grind grind grind for a mere third place efficiently but allmost never spectacularly. Apart from Gerrard where is the flair? So if you want to call anyone boring point the finger at Liverpool.

If you dont agree I refernce the Liverpool Aston Villa match, perhaps the most boring game I have ever seen.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea are grinding teams.
I think that is one of the reasons Abramovich wants to get rid of Mourinho.
If you are looking for a team to compare and contrast with, look at the scum.

PSV was piss poor.
I think they had one shot on target.
A quarterfinal in the champions league shouldnt be that easy.

It does remind me of 2005 though, when Liverpool beat Leverkusen easily away...

[/ QUOTE ]

their best defender is injured.
their best striker is injured.
they're short on confidence due to a poor run of form domestically.

I mean, i see your point, but it's not like they're normally this bad.

also,

hell of a match from a stand in keeper for bayern, and quite possibly the worst penalty call i've seen since, i dunno, onyewu was penalized for "bringing down" pimpong in the world cup.

I am painfully aware of what Koeman can do (Benfica last year), and I know that PSV normally are a tough team to break down. And I know they are missing key players.

But, no offense, they were piss poor last night. Koeman's game plan was to keep it tight at the back. Period. And maybe sneak through on away goals at Anfield. That is a risky strategy, and they they paid the price.
