Default has McCain lost his mind?

web page

I don't know what slant the above linked site may have, but the interview was just on CNN with Blitzer. McCain tells Blitzer he needs to get up to speed on the fact that some neighborhoods in Baghdad are now safe enough for Americans to walk around in without security. CNN correspondent on the ground and talking to the military promptly dismisses and derides the claim.

What in the world is McCain thinking?? I sort of thought McCain had some sense of trying to create and stake out the position of pro-Iraq war + some sense of reality and honesty. Looks like that's over. Has he just lost it?

Yes he's insane and he just made himself look like a complete idiot. In other news: GOP voters don't care!

Great timing. Talk about a foot in your mouth. A child's dismembered foot at that.

Not bad for 4 years into a war and $10B/month. Enough of a success story to keep Hannity going at least another 2 or 3 years.

[/ QUOTE ] This is so true and sad at the same time. Sen McCain was a man of great character and political conviction. I remember being upset when GWB defeated him in the Republican primary in 99. Over the last year or so I'm actually kinda glad he didn't win the nomination.

How do you know you just couldn't tell he was just another politician back then?

I'm starting to believe the Bush 2000 campaign claim that being a POW for several years in Vietnam caused McCain to go more than a tad insane.
