do they really have a 3/6 stud8 game there, ive always want to play stud8 live but figured the stakes were never low enough

Thanks Ray, I've ordered your book. And yes, Hawaiian Gardens had a 3/6 stud/8 game going most nights when I was there in February. I could not find any other stud/8 game in town at low limits.

The game would have to be pretty loose for it to be worthwhile. Canterbury Park used to have a $4/8 stud/8 game with a 10% rake capped at $4.50 and a $1 jackpot drop. At the risk of sounding arrogant--and I'm usually willing to take this risk--if I was playing reasonably well and catching cards, there wasn't a lot else for anyone else to win. When they spread stud/8 these days, it's usually $6/12, and I can't win a hand.
