I'm definitely calling this AI from a shortstacker. He makes this play with any Q and most pairs bigger than 5s. If he smooth called w/ As or Ks preflop then this is his reward for being a moron.

If stacks were larger I'd probably fold. TPTK is not a monster by any stretch.

Thx Kermit,
I really trying to think about my one pair hands, I just bought PT (in the last couple of days) and my one pair hands are showing a huge loss.

It's definately something i need to work on and over the coming month it's something I'm planning to plug.
Thanks for the input ppl.

well, you definitely don't want to get in the habit of overpalying top pair, particularly in FR.

however, ime, once i have established an aggressive image, these are the types of flop people will play back at me with medium pairs/air. They assume that the paired board makes it tougher for me to call a raise, i probably dont have that card and its less likely i have hit the flop.

Also, at these stakes i dont see why a weaker Q coudn't be well within his range.

toss in the fact that hes somewhat short, i just get it in.

Checkmate I've haven't played any lower but i doubt it's massively different maybe not Q10 very often but maybe KQ or even as another poster said a mid pair like 77-JJ.
Afterwards though I thought those hands would call and see what i did on the turn, that was what made me question myself.

CLB yeah if villian had 100BBs i think i'd have found a fold.

if you havent seen this person willing to get it in with less than tptk, i would fold this on a non draw heavy board. i think a weaker Q flat calls you here most of the time. at 25NL i see A5 or K5 alot of times here(thats why they re playing 25NL) or even 56s sometimes. villains reraise on the flop could mean he thinks you're just c-betting a whiffed flop, but alot of times it just means he knows you have a Q and doesnt care. i dunno maybe im too weak tight from spewing way too much with TPTK, and their reraise almost always meaning they have me beat.

easy call, 95% of the time they show AK AQ AA KK KQ QJ JJ TT and A5, so youre ahead 5 out of 8 times, and the pot size makes it easy to call
