Default $5/10, a lot of choices on every street

I´ve only been at the table for ten minutes and the only read I have on villain (BB) is that he plays aggressively.

I´ve asked a lot of my friends about this hand and have gotten a lot of different tips about how to play it. I will reveal the play on the turn after you have given me some thoughts about the flop decision.

Hero ($1005)
BB ($2084.67)
UTG ($2350.50)
MP ($495)
Button ($1439.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises to $30, BB calls $20.

Flop: ($60) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $40, Villain raises to $80

Hero??

Thanks!

Considering stack I think call is better then 3-bet, as 3-bet will either A. get villian to fold better hands, or B. get villian to push you off your hand. and right now it doesnt seem like there is enough dead money in pot to be making a move that can turn into a EV neutral situation. In other words the +EV of the situation comes from the %chance he will fold times the dead money currently in pot. since if he pushed and you will pretty much just be getting exactly right odds to call.

Default Flop play and turn decision

Okay guys, sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I will correct that next time but please let me finish this hand here? Thank you!
I appreciate it a lot.

Flop 3-bet and turn decision:

Hero ($1005)
BB ($2084.67)
UTG ($2350.50)

Button ($1439.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises to $30, BB calls $20.

Flop: ($60) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $40, Villain raises to $80, Hero raises to $250, Villain calls $170.

Turn: ($560) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

I have $725 left, which feels like a pretty awkward stack-size as the pot is $560. My action?

After a lot of thinking I think my best play would have been to make the flop 3-bet a little bigger, making me save a ~PSB to the turn and just push it in. Thoughts?

DING DING DING FTW!!

You beat so many hands on the flop, and you're down to race a set, that you need to shovel as much money into the pot as possible because you're OOP. IP might be a little different, but OOP you should ALWAYS felt these monter draws as quickly as possible..

Ok thank you all! I got all the answers I needed.

In the hand I got it allin on the turn and sucked out vs. AJ.

And, I will only post $10/20 and above on here from now on and keep the $5/10 hands in MSNL.
