Re: Music you like that\'s not considered great
The Muse.
Best band out there by far. One of the most talented bands I've seen in a long time. By far the best 3-piece (although someone recently told me they picked up a road keyboardist). I have no idea why this band hasn't WTF-E'sploded all over the world. I've been a fan for 4 years or so, and when they've come to town it's gone from a club whose circuit breaker couldn't keep up with their gear, to stadiums... so they've gotten somewhat bigger. |

[/ QUOTE ] I love Muse (not The Muse FWIW). I didn't think their first album was great, but I've been a convert since 2001 when Origin came out in the UK. Very rarely do my musical tastes intersect with bands whose live shows display real vocal and instrumental virtuosity. Bellamy is not the greatest song-writer in the world, but as an arranger and performer he's at the top of the game. But Muse would probably be considered a critically-acclaimed band in England. Or at least acclaimed by the NME. |
