Re: AJJ 1/2 s8b
My point was based on this from Todd Brunson: "Avoid split nines, tens, and even jacks or queens on third street if you have overcards behind you." In this case you did not have overcards behind you, you had an overcard, so I guess that means you're good. Was it worth considering slowing down on 5th when both opponents caught?

[ QUOTE ]
On 6th I'm grateful it's only one bet to me. [/ QUOTE ] 6th street is a puzzle to me, especially Seat 4's call. Does S4 have two pair? trips? an 8? Is he lying in the weeds, since, after all, hero raised it on 5th street? Will a check-raise by Hero on 6th street help him by letting him lay his hand for one bet on 7th, or even get away from it if he doesn't fill? |

Re: AJJ 1/2 s8b
[ QUOTE ]
beavis, in high low when against two players and one is sure to be a winner in the opposite direction as you, you are laying 2 to 1 on each bet you put in to win your half. so think about that when deciding to raise. i would have not put in another raise or bet from 5th street on. just check and call or fold. if you kept the pot small you could have easily folded on 7th. which whether you won or not would have been the play of choice for more than one bet. [/ QUOTE ] I will try not to be such a butt-head, and remember this good advice btw, seat7 should have read seat4 in the OP. |
