Default hand analysis

Hey All,
Is there any place in a sound strategy for play like this?
On the turn, I bet, because I thought the person probably had a weak hand like Q10, because of the limp pre-flop. I thought if I bet a good amount, he's throw away his weak hand. Then when I river hit, I hit my card.
I guess my only real question is,"Do you try to take the pot on the turn?

Thanks,
Shooby

BTW, I realize the river call was a mistake.
It probably didn't help that I had watched High Stakes Poker just before this hand. They were showing great reads, and bluff catching. I got a little too confident/excited I guess.

Q 10 isn't a very strong hand, but maybe you're right. At least expensive lessons are easily remembered.

What hand do you think he had?

Turn is spew..Villain is either on a made hand that he will not fold or a draw that he will not fold...Take the free card an re-eval the river...

Practice pot control...Bluffing and building big pots with weak hands is not winning poker at the micro level..
