Wow. Fantastic job Mr. Sklansky. No wonder you're such a winning high stakes NL player. By your logic, QQQ should take down a 6 BB pot against 777 333 and 222, since the button missed his OESD and checked the river. And that is undisputable.

Give the guy a break everyone.

This is standard at places like Hawaiian Gardens (So Cal) where monsters are slowplayed to death and middle pair no kicker are pushed hard 6 to the flop.

=)

Your plan just didn't work out this time, with that many people someone should have hit a marginally good hand to at least bet with. Oh well, no big deal.

I like to raise preflop though, turn up the aggression a bit.

but what do I know, I play at Hawaiian Gardens and other LA cardrooms.

I'm stubborn. I still raise preflop =) Got an image to live up to!

Also, I think that stacking someone (even if it's only 80bb) in a limped pot will not happen nearly as often with the "decent" players in your scenario seems to imply but may happen at times with the much lower than average players.

Is that an April Fools post?

Seems sound advice on how to win a small pot or lose a big one. I don't believe a winning player could write that article.
