Re: Why won\'t sites let current players sign-up for rakeback?
I've never played at any sites for real money before. I have played at a few using fake money though. Can I still sign up for rakeback at a site that I have only played fake money on?

Re: Why won\'t sites let current players sign-up for rakeback?
[ QUOTE ]
It would be bad business to do so. If they let everyone get rakeback they might as well just take less rake. [/ QUOTE ] Not at all. Grocery stores and pizza places offer coupons & discounts, but they don't lower their price. There are price-sensitive and price-insensitive consumers. A price-sensitive poker player knows that rake is the cost of play, and goes for lower rake sites. A price-insensitive consumer player just plays whatever site they got marketed into. It makes sense to offer rakeback to the customers who will switch to your site for it. |

Re: Why won\'t sites let current players sign-up for rakeback?
Sure, but if Full Tilt starts converting every existing account to a rakeback affiliate don't you see an inherent problem? People who have existing accounts under non rakeback affiliate will feel totally scammed that they cant change their affiliates for rakeback. You have no idea how many FTP players know about rakeback and still play on their existing accounts without it.
