So he lost
200-300k on HSP
100k on HSP UK
100k Aussie millions cash game
3mil online (-500k just from holdem on ftp this year)
Every time I see him playing cash he seems to be losing. How is he not broke yet? Does he owe like 2mil? From what I ve seen he s lost like 4mil in cash games.

i've heard that he borrows money from friends and it seems he might be very reliable in paying them back, so that's prolly good for his rep...

doesn't he also get paid a nice amount by FT every month?? i thought he might...

I read that FTP pays him 100K a month to play on the site. Still doesn't quite make up for those losing cash numbers. Also you gotta think he has made it far in the WSOP ME before and he also won the tournament of champions last year for 1 million. Still who knows where he is at because it is common knowledge that he borrows money all the time, but like the previous poster said always pays it back.

I'm pretty sure Juanda and Seidel had him in the ME that year, so he only walked away with a fraction of the million.

No, its a real show but i don't think it is called that. It takes place in Australia I think. It is sponsered by FTP and Matusow was one of the biggest losers I think.

IMHO it is VERY obvious, that they don't play for their own money in the Aussie serie.

They play like it is a sng, and to me that suggest sponsored money and a fixed fee/price structure - except for that asian fellow.

I could be wrong though...

On the plus side for Mike - he has crossbooked Hellmuth on his cash games - I don't if the $563,000 Chinese Poker loss to Ivey counts though.
