Didn't read the April Fools day stuff and am not really knowledgeable about all the politcs-forum drama that lead to the context of all this.
But would it not be at all effective to just lock or delete the offending post and then PM the poster to tell him you feel we've had enough of these? If, after a warning or deletion, they then go on to try to defy the mod again in some annoying way then go ahead and ban them I guess. But I think 3-day bans as a first-response to something that apparently others were already doing is possibly not the best approach. |
