In my experience the most prevalent scent is that of desperation.

Forget the people, what about the smells of the B&M.

Free cologne at the Venetian.

It's just chicken, my man.

There is lot less meat on the foot, to be sure, and a lot more skin and tiny bones. But it's not much different from a leg or thigh, and even less different than a wing.

Somehow folks ended up last night grilling an english dude at our table about his travels. He's lived in 8 countries and visited lots more and he was describing a few. He said something like "You couldn't PAY me enough to live in Egypt--it just completely and literally reeked--it was stifling and the odor was constant". Someone asks "how would you compare Vegas to other places you've lived". He pauses and says "I hope you don't take this wrong, but this place really reeks too--it's dirty and it has an odor that never goes away".

I never noticed a characteristic Vegas smell myself. Anybody ever step off the plane, inhale, and say "yep, we're back in Vegas?"

Bav ,

If you were playing at Circus Circus last night, that would explain a lot.

Basically, I concur. Obviously, if you're with people who have been playing all night, there's a greater chance than average that they won't smell all that great. But it's the same as, say, being with someone on the 18th tee as opposed to the 1st tee.

I can't remember the last time I sat next to somebody at a poker table who smelled bad. It has to be more than half a year and I think it's more than a year.

The bad smelling poker player is more myth than reality. Poker rooms ar filled with normal people who bathe regularly.

[/ QUOTE ]

There are many with horrendous breath though. Good god you want to just choke them with a breath mint. They turn to yap with you and your eyebrows curl backwards.

I sat next to a couple bad smellers(BO) in the past weeks. But yeah, it isn't quite that common.
