Just to clarify, I'm not some weed noob who thinks he's being profound or anything. I've been smoking regularly for the past year and a half. I'm also not stoned right now, though I did come up with the idea to post this when I was. However, this is something that I've intuitively concluded for a while, as someone who has tried many different types of pot from many different sources. I will admit, it's possible that I simply have not had really good weed yet.

So I'm confused. It can't be both totally obvious and completely wrong. Which one is it?

well in general, good bud will burn slower because it will be more resinous. I smoke on alot of kush (which is extremely resinous and has the highest THC content out of all strains), and it always burns veeeery slow.

On the other hand, I've seen lots of junk burn real slow too because A) it hasn't been properly dried/cured or B) it hasn't been flushed properly which means that chemicals in the plant will slow the burn.

But believe me - different strains have entirely different effects and potencies. Different strains will effect you in different ways, and strains like Kush have something like double the THC content in comparison to an average strain.

All I know is that I've bought weed from at least five different people in the past year, and while I haven't noticed a significant change in how high I get, there has been a difference in how much it takes to get me there and how well the [censored] burns.

(No, this does not have to do with my tolerance increasing.)

There is a big difference between weed grown outdoors and weed grown indoors under hydroponics. 2-3x in strength I understand. Had a hydro box in my loft with like 30 plants a few years ago, that was niiice.

Not sure if this is really obvious and I'm just an idiot, but the big difference among different types of weed isn't the strength of the bud (effect per hit) but how slow it burns (number of hits per bowl).

Thoughts?

Hmmm...smoke some more weed and maybe you'll come up with a theory that actually makes sense.

On second thought - no...you probably won't.
