Live tourney. I've got about 7k. Blinds are 500/1000. I pick up A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] on the button. Folded to me, I raise to $2500. BB (chip leader) puts me all in basically. Is this an insta-call due to stack sizes or is it a fold?
I will say that BB apparently didn't look at his cards first and was about to call, then looked at his cards and raised....wasn't sure if this was an act, etc. Regardless I thought chip sizes pretty much dictated a call. Thoughts? edit - more info if necessary. It was down to about 7, top 3 places pay, and my stack was probably about average. |

If there's antes, and probably if there aren't, then I'd just open shove. I don't see how you can raise-fold for > 1/3 of your stack.

With an M<5. Insta call. Antes? If so your M is even lower. How many players left? Are you near the bubble? Are you already ITM?
Regardless, shove this pre-flop. |

Just shove this preflop with 7BBs. You have to call now that you're committed.

Open shove regardless, you have less than 10bbs, and a hand which rates to be the best one at the moment.
After he shoves you are commited and have to call. |
