But if you have that large of a roll, isn't the bonus money on Absolute really small comparitive to your poker winnings?

This is assuming Absolute is less profitable than other sites which applies to me. I ran up about $2k worth of bonuses on Absolute before letting them expire. Even with perma-bonus I wasn't getting anywhere near my normal hourly rate.

If I'm going to be playing anyway...might as well have a good bonus to go with it. It adds about $15k per year to winnings to shop around for good bonuses than just play alone. I'm still only a 3/6-5/10 full ring guy and 2/4 short-handed, so the bonus money is significant to me.

Oh ok, I play NL 6-max and the table selection on Absolute is horrible.

I heard 2/4+ on Absolute isn't nearly as bad as the .5/1 or 1/2 rock gardens.

Good point on your first para. If you do win at the small limits it would be pretty hard to earn more than Absolute pays altogether. Here's an interesting analysis:

I skimmed it over the Bulls Betting Forum link and his numbers look right.

From his numbers AP bonus =
+1.91BB/100 @ 1/2
+1.40BB/100 @ 2/4
+0.94BB/100 @ 3/6
+0.52BB/100 @ 5/10

That should make the decision pretty simple.

Code:

If Party winrate > (Absolute winrate + 1.91BB/100)
then play at Party
else
play at Absolute

Repeat for other limits, etc.

Right.

People get frustrated if they are break-even at absolute and are 'only' clearing the bonus.

But if you are only break-even at absolute then you are probably not making 2BB/100 at party.

If you are just winning in the 1BB/100 neighborhood at absolute you can do pretty decently with their bonuses and rakeback and so forth.

Of course, with party VIP-bonus stuff and RB and other bonuses then obviously party quickly gets more competitive.

I play 3/6 5/10 on AP to and make about 2K from bonus money + another 2 from rakeback. My winrate is only 0.5 BB/100 though. I`d be curious what others manafe to win there.

Nobody who is a professional casino whore is going to respond to this post with anything substantial to help you, including myself, FWIW.

As for poker, yeah, it's possible. Enjoy playing against props all day on Absolute.
