Amount spent on Iraq war: $360 Billion (so far)
2007 Budget of the National Cancer Institute: $4.75 Billion Isn't the War on Cancer more worth fighting than a war on Saddam Hussein? |

Re: War on Iraq vs. War on Cancer
Your logic doesn't make sense as Hussein has not been in power for years.

Also, you could say this about 1000 other subjects as well. Education, poverty, drugs, etc. etc.

This is terrible logic. [/ QUOTE ] why? Because you think increasing cancer research money has diminishing returns I assume? It would almost have to, but that still doesn't show that the funding for researching it shouldn't be increased. |

Yeah. Most of the military budget is just wasted money. [/ QUOTE ] LOL How many foreign invasion forces have threatened the continental US successfully in the last 100 years? This sounds a standard, I can't see a threat ergo there must be NO threat argument. |

[/ QUOTE ] We can't afford that $360B dollars as it is. China is financing most of that. We don't just have an infinite supply of money to spend on whatever we feel like. Never mind the fact that I don't think tax money should be spent of either of those things. We're going bankrupt. |
