Default Floyd Mayweather vs. Oscar de la Hoya

It looks like Mayweather has to move up in weight for the fight. Oscar de la Hoya has lost 4 fights, only one by KO to Bernard Hopkins. Mayweather is undefeated but hasn't faced as tough competition as de lay Hoya. What are you thoughts on the fight?

I'm so excited for this fight. SO excited. Anyone who is a boxing fan has been anticipating this fight forever.

The general consensus is that PBF will be too quick for DLH. I think(hope) it will be a great fight(although it will be damn near impossible to live up to it's expectations) but PBF will win by UD. If DLH wins it will be via KO.

I can't wait!

Should be a GREAT fight. I agree, I don't know how anyone can't be anticipating this fight. Floyd is to quick and should win, but everytime I think DLH is certain to lose he wins.

Yea, it looks like it should be a great fight. Curious about your predictions. Does DLH hit harder and that is why you think he has a better chance to knockout Mayweather despite not being a favorite?

Floyd doesn't hit hard(relatively speaking of course).

He's really quick and has great defense, but he just doesn't have much power.

I really think that the only way DLH wins is with a KO(TKO included.)

If PBF wins by KO, I would be really, REALLY shocked. If DLH wins by anything OTHER than a KO, I would be really surprised.

The way I see it, DLH is considered an all-time great. Floyd is great, don't get me wrong, but he needs to beat DLH(and some other good fighters) to secure his status as one of the bext boxers ever.

Honestly, I would love to see DLH win for a few reasons:
1)So that Floyd will STFU.
2)Makes Mayweather's retirement a lot less likely, which would mean...
3)Possible fights against Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, etc. 3+ good fights>>>>1 good fight.

Right now, I think that Floyd is the better boxer. But overall? DLH, by a longshot.

Oscar had a great career, but he's done. His record the last 5 years is a joke. He's simply not in Mayweather's league at the moment.

My prediction is Mayweather by unanimous decision. Floyd's quickness makes up for his lack of power at a higher weight.

I also predict no knockdowns during the fight. However, if one does happen, De La Hoya will be the one knocking down Mayweather.

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone can seriously take Oscar to win. He is in this for the $ IMO and he'll be lucky if he makes it to the tenth.
