Mouse not recognized on new computer

Hi:

Just bought a Toshiba Satellite, with Windows Vista. The first few days, I simply plugged my old mouse(nexxtech laser) into the USB port and it worked fine.

However, for whatever reason, the mouse does not work at all now, and I get the message 'USB Device Not Recognized,' whenever I try plugging it into the USB port.

Any ideas on how to get it back to working properly?

check for vista drivers for that make of mouse - prob on there web site -GL
