Re: Live at the Bike thread (week of 3/26 - Fri. Bart\'s Final Show)
Friday's show, presumably 10-20 NL, is also Bart Hanson's last time announcing on the show. It brings an end to a good two year run for the program, as they go in a new direction with new announcers, and possibly a new schedule. Bart (as well as Tuch) will certainly be missed, and certainly wish both well in their future endeavors in the poker room and hopefully back in the broadcast booth together.

Re: Live at the Bike thread (week of 3/26 - Fri. Bart\'s Final Show)
Ok, the hand with Mike Wu and Ed was my all time Fav. I remember it so well because Bart went Banana's. Ed had about 12 infront of him as well as Mike Wu. Ed was either the Cut Off, or button, and Mike Wu was in the Small Blind. Frank M, was also in the hand 22 and limp in early position, comes around to Ed who limps in with 99. Mike Wu then raises it up with QQ, Frank calls and Ed pulls the limp re-raise in late position to 2000 all day. Mike just smooth calls the 2000, and that brings in Frank with 22's for like a 6000+ pot to the flop. Board Comes down KQJ, (Mid set for Wu) he checks hoping to pull the check raise with Ed. Frank Checks, Ed throws out 1500hundred. Comes back to Wu, who Check raises all in for his last 9 G or so. Frank folds, comes back to Ed, who everyone and there Mother thought he would have to lay this one down, but with no real thought, he says call. They run it once, and BOOM, river is the Gutter Ball, 10. Bart Goes Freaking Crazy, as would I, and Ed rakes in about 25,000$ dollar pot. Mike Wu took it like a true Pro. But my all time Fav. hand on LATB. That Whole Eps. Should be on your Top Ten list. Great Hand, better reaction by Bart.
The Eps. was 2006, June 21 Min. 47 is where you can find it. Everyone who is Sub. to LATB, should watch this hand, It is Bart and Dave at there very best. |

Re: Live at the Bike thread (week of 3/26 - Fri. Bart\'s Final Show)
Bart, thanks for 2 great years of poker entertainment! I learned a lot from the show, but for sheer fun nothing tops Ed winning a bad beat. The 10/12/05 show when Ed felts Jamie Gold (2:33 mark) and the 2 times Ed sucked out on Military Kirk on the 2/2/07 show were classics.
I'll take a wait and see approach with the show but Bart will be extremely hard to replace. |
