Before he was known for having a falling-out with Stern, Benza was a well-known NYC gossip columnist. He had a short-lived true-crime show on E! too, if I remember correctly.

I think the hand discussion is pretty awful. A lot of people say Kaplan's analysis is insightful, I strongly disagree.

However, I actually really enjoy the schtick between these two and find the colour commentary quite entertaining =)

HSP is a GREAT show. Players are risking real money unlike tournament poker where only their initial buy-in is at risk. I love the commentary from both AJ and Gabe but this feud (real/fake) really takes away a lot from the show. I think they should just take the feuding out or replace AJ. Gabe is definitely the better commentator. I love how Gabe tries to let us know what is going on in the players head.
