Stud hi: A22 with one dead card.
You has (As2s)2h and are the bring-in in stud hi.
Board is 7d Ts Ad 9h 3h 2h. 7d folds, Ts completes, 9h and 3h call. Is this a call w/ your A22 with one dead card? |

If the BI was half a bet you could convince me to call. This really depends more on what type of action you can get if you hit your hand...

Re: Stud hi: A22 with one dead card.
What limit/structure are we playing? Are these the type of players who will call when you pair your door or are they more conservative? If the latter, you need the split aces up to get a lot of action and the dead ace makes that less likely. The two flush in the hole adds a bit to your hand with just one spade dead. Again, how well do you play compared to your opponents?

Re: Stud hi: A22 with one dead card.
Depends if I think I'll get paid off. If I do then yeah, I'll take a card off there and see how it develops. An ace, 2 or even a spade (depending on what they catch) keeps me potentially interested.

Re: Stud hi: A22 with one dead card.
I peel one since you close the action and the likely 4th street bettor is on your immediate left.
Question for everyone: in this exact case, would you rather have the deuces buried or split? |

(As2s)2h
(7d folds, Ts completes, 9h and 3h call.) There is 1 spade out and that person raises. Does this person raise whith 3 flushes. I would call and be ready to fold without help on 4th to a bet. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'd fold on third in this spot unless I could see 4th cheaply. Seems kinda spewy to me. But, if I had to play, I'd want my deuces buried because then I could raise 3rd with an A in the door. And if I hit a 2 then they'll never see the trips coming. Adds deception to the hand, imo. |
