5NL, 55 set on A high board, villain exhibits classic donk strat
was only my 5th or 6th hand at table. My question is does anyone lay this down at these stakes? I had the right read, villain used the CLASSIC, donk reraise pf then immediately donk the flop. Red flags were going off everywhere. I absolutely made the read that he had aces yet i still raised flop and still called the push that i knew was coming. I was not happy about my call, but does he show up with AK or 2 pair often enough to call this? I was 99% sure he had aces but woulda felt worse had i folded to a worse hand. Any thoughts on this? I know i should of followed my read, but his action angered me to the point that i called. Guess that's why they keep doing it... it worked on me like a charm lol. At the very least, maybe this will alert others to this common donk play. I mean sometimes there like "so bad, they're good" you know? lol

If you EVER lay down a straight at NL5 on a board like this, just withdraw and save yourself the trouble from losing all your bankroll. Call all day.

Totally standard. This will be AK, AQ, KK, QQ often enough. Don't give them credit for anything and you'll be fine over the long run. Set over set is rare and aggravating. Don't be results-oriented.

I don't think this is a fold. I just want to say though, that villains don't really 3-bet AK preflop much at these stakes.
