Problem: 70% of posts adds absolutely nothing

Ironic. By starting this useless thread you've increased your own post count by over 26%.

The only posts I hate are the retarded useless ones that go something like "In before lock" or "in on the ground floor"

I kind of thought the LOL's and QFT's were just a shorter way of saying "I really agree with what you're saying and think you made a nice post" or something like that.

It's generally a compliment to the poster for either saying something really funny or hitting the nail on the head. Something like that anyway.

I really never thought many or any of the QFT posts were even remotely related to bumping post-count.

I have QFT'ed before.
But it certainly wasn't in an attempt to bump my count.
In fact, if there was a way to bump my post-count backwards (perhaps by typing my response from right to left or something) than I would do that in a heartbeat.

Regarding the argument that you notice them by name if they've been around long enough. Not always the case, especially if you swing by a forum you don't normally go to.
There are lots of times I see somebody's post and don't really recall the name and then notice they have 6k posts or something and think it's kind of weird I never noticed them before.
Maybe I'm just not paying enough attention which certainly wouldn't be the first time.

If you're right that all the noise is not related to post count then there's no reason to not display it.

Again this was just a sugestion to remove some of the noise. If the conclusion is it won't then my argument is null and void. I didn't mean to sound like I demanded this should be done. And I honestly don't care about my post count, it wasn't meant to sound like that.

It was just a tough I had when reading some posts here. Guess I should think about what my motives looks like before making a new thread...

QFT

Case in point: myself. There are probably 10x more people here who don't know who I am than do.

If only this would work. I'd need to read my computer in front of a mirror or something.

The first couple times it's funny. Then it's annoying for a while, then BAM it's funny again.
