Losing VIP level at Pokerstars
In light of internet funding problems, Pokerstars needs to have some flexiblity on people maintaining VIP levels.
I realize that maintaining Goldstar to some may not be that big a deal but Pokerstars is practicing bad business policy by not having some leeway to grant relief. COORESPONDENCE: ----- Original Message ----- From: xxx Sent: 2007/03/30 10:30:47 To: support@pokerstars.com Subject: VIP status Because of the Neteller debacle and because I thought I maintained plenty of cash on your sight, I didn't have an alternate funding plan. After hitting a nasty downswing in February, I lost several weeks of playing time unable to fund my account. I rectiified it by setting up ePassporte which took time. As a reuslt, my Goldstar VIP status will end at the end of March. Is there any way to grant a one month extension to my Goldstar status so that I can try to maintain it next month. Thanks in advance. From: "PokerStars Support" <support@pokerstars.com> To: xxx Subject: RE: VIP status Date: Fri, 30 Mar 2007 11:01:31 -0400 Hello xxx, Thank you for your email. Unfortunately we are not able to offer extensions to your Gold Star status, unless the requisite VPP are earned. As always, thank you for playing at PokerStars. Regards, MarkW PokerStars Support Team MY REPLY: I don't mind. It only costs you business as I may eventually get it back...but in the interim I will play much more at your competitors. Thanks for your consideration. |

Re: Losing VIP level at Pokerstars
Um, it takes what, a day of play to get Goldstar?
I'm sure they are losing a ton of business because they are following the rules that were set forth... Knowing they dont bend/break the rules, I will play a few extra hands a day to offset any rake they've lost from your petty play. |

Re: Losing VIP level at Pokerstars
NETeller exit affected all players, so Stars either has to change the rules for everyone or keep for everyone.
Why can't you use the debit card? |

Yeah, there are several ways to get money on a site over a couple of weeks time. Can't say I don't agree with Stars on this.

Re: Losing VIP level at Pokerstars
Just get goldstar in a new month. The only level that would be worth worrying about maintaining is supernova, because that is a yearly goal with a monthly maintain. The other levels are all monthly.

In addition, we will extend your status on a month-by-month basis from January through the end of June, provided you continue to earn at least 10,000 VPPs every month, missing no more than one month of 10,000 VPP accrual.
