Default AK UI in 3bet pot

Villain is TAG. He usually plays higher stakes so I don`t have that many hands on him. He`s 20/16/3 over about 100 hands. This is the third time I 3b him in the last 20 hands. None of the hands were shown down.
Is he taking me to valuetown here always? I figure his preflop calling range is rather liberal given stacks/history/position.

3/6NL
900$ eff stacks

1 limper - Villain raises to 27 - I RR AKo oo SB to 100 - villain calls.

Flop:

655r

I check - villain bets 150 - I call

Turn:

9 (completing r)

checks through

River:

3

Villain bets 300 into 500

I hate the check/call on the flop. If you're going to put money into this pot on the flop, you should lead out. Once you check and he bets, I'd prefer a fold since you probably have very limited implied odds when you hit. As played, I'd call the river something like 40-60% of the time, your hand is good here often enough to show a profit on this board, especially if you think he's calling your 3bet lightly.

I check the flop a lot in 3b pots with all sorts of holdings. I can have AA here.
My thinking is that if I always conti-bet here my 3bets are getting too expensive as I want to 3b a lot in general. Maybe I should bet here more.
In the actual hand I thought about c/raising the flop AI then decided that I dont have enough of a read on villain to do so.

checking the flop is completely terrible. if you're going to check, you have to checkraise all in. out of position with ace high against a better player with $900 effective stacks is a [censored] situation, and there's no real good way to play the hand from there unless you spike a lucky pair.

river is really [censored] and almost 100% read dependent. calling and folding are both justifiable based on your opponent's tendencies against aggression/3-bets

btw a good player can easily valuetown TT something you if he thinks you play an underpair or a medium pair like 77-TT this way, so your preflop reraising range/history is very important in making this decision

if, as you claim, his range is pretty wide and your image is really bad, then i really prefer to fold here, because your hand looks like a weakish hand trying for pot control or something like that to play like this, which you have no intention of folding.
