seems like an easy shove, regardless of his stats hes opening any pair after limper imo id put him on overlimping a 56s and to a much lesser extent 35s 67s hands

Shoving would be quite bad here. I call and see the turn.

even if his range is like 56, 88-TT, and sets, your equity is pretty bad. Also he see you bet out into like 50 players from the blinds, hes gotta have something here.

villain opens all overpairs after the utg limp w/ possibly of just overlimping 99 or TT. i think its possible but remote its a missed lrr of aa or kk. w/16 vpip unlikely he's limping alot of suited connectors from that spot.
btw, you prolly dont want to hear this, but 42o is close to a fold pf. seems really tough postflop bc on one hand it's a multiway dry flop, on the other only 1 combo of 22/44 (not to mention 77 6 ways which has you dead) i think 3betting here is bad. i also think if our stack gets in we're in trouble. if we call im 50/50 on whether we wantto check or stop and go. if im villain and you lead out, dont know if youd lead out say 86 here or K7s, but 42o should be near the top of the hand range, since i woudlnt really expect you to complete 42 or 72, so its set or top two. if i do call im def. not putting anymore money in on a 3, 7, 8, or ace. i would probably call here, although fwiw my initial reaction was to fold. |

full ring is so dumb. I'd fold preflop and on the flop. Raising seems pretty awful and I wouldn't know wtf to do if I just called.

I agree that 42o is a fold from the SB. It's almost certainly -EV to complete.
The interesting question here is -- does he have a wide enough range to make pushing +EV. If his range here is 88-99, 67s, 78s, 56s, A7s, and sets, we probably have enough fold equity to make it a +EV shove because we get called by sets, (maybe he folds 22) and everything else folds out. If his range is tighter we probably don't have the fold equity and should probably just toss it. Range and possible combos next to each: 99 6 88 6 77 3 56s 4 76s 3 78s 3 A7s 3 44 1 22 1 Fold: 6 6 4 3 3 3 = 25 Call: 1 1 3 = 5 This means with this range he folds 84% of the time. If he gets feisty and thinks I'm a bluffer, calls me down with marginals like 99 or 78, the expected value is higher. If it's ever a limped AA or KK, EV is higher still. On the other hand, he may not be raising these hands when he sees a six way flop and Lyric firing from the SB. Range may be sets and sets only.... |
