The pot is big enough-and the callers aren't doing anything to make me believe your 6 outs aren't good so flop and turn are fine but once you brick out I'd just assume fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Question: Should I assume with all that preflop action that either 1) I have significantly less than 6 outs, or 2) Someone has a made hand (i.e. I fold the river automatically when I don't catch)

This hand is easy IMO

cap preflop, call the flop, fold the turn, fold the river

Don't count outs preflop. Its not useful. Instead, just count your equity.

Download and enjoy.

I dont think you really understood my question... maybe I didnt word it right. What I mean to say is that I hold Ace-King. There were two raisers preflop. After the flop my outs are 1)the 4th nine 2)the remaining aces and kings

But because the preflop raisers are likely to hold some number of aces and kings, should I discount my outs? Say, instead of 7 outs total, should I count them as 4 or 5?

Well if you think they have an ace or king then counting your outs is somewhat irrelevant because you shouldnt be folding ace king high (if they both have an ace or king)

I may cap pre-flop to possibly fold UTG+2. If bet out on flop, I'd call flop, fold turn if UI.

I would have folded on the flop. You are problem behind already and do you really want to put extra in when there is a good chance for a boat alreay?

I'm sure a lot of people will say you have the odds to call, but I would fight another day.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a joke, right? You wouldn't really fold this getting 19:1, would you?

I played around a little with PokerStove on this:

Assigning to CO and UTG+2 usual 3-betting and capping hands:
99+,AJs+,AKo
and to SB a top 20 percent hand (too wide a range?)
66+,A4s+,K7s+,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,A9o+,KTo,QTo,JTo

Hero has 13.6 % equity
CO and UTG+2 have 36%
SB has 14.3% equity

this is for after the flop....so your pot equity when the bet comes to you after the flop is .136*18=2.45 SB
Is this worth continuing with? This is the first time I've tried using PokerStove so all disclaimers apply.....

You assigned somebody 99? The flop was 999, so I would assume that person would have 100% or more of pot equity

Well, PokerStove presumably when you but in the board cards......would not actually use that holding....at least I hope not...
There is a slider bar to set top x% holdings....I wanted to make sure that AKo
was in the list....to do that you have to accept 99 also....

So, FWIW, I think the numbers are correct.....(given the assumptions)
