software to \'see\' others cards
I use pokerace which is a great tool for stats but I'm wondering if there's software out there that can give you an idea of what your opponent's cards are?
The other day I got HU in a SnG and went all-in with AQ, my opponent had AK, doh! It would have been so handy if there was something telling me not to push. I'm not asking for exact cards but more like 'opponent has 70% chance of AK and 30% chance of a PP' - could really help with decision making. I think this would be totally fair, because online there are no reads. Playing live is so much easier - I have a home game where there's this one guy who always announces 'Pocket Kings!' when he gets them - this is most helpful cos it takes all the guesswork out when he raises. It's totally legal for him to say this, so an online card reader tool must also be. I think something like this could improve my ROI a bit. |

Re: software to \'see\' others cards
Well, all sites that I know of do offer this software - it's called 'chat'. Maybe if you ask nicely your opponent will tell you. I'd expect to hear a lot of 'Rockets, Aces' and the like...
More commonly used though is PT in conjunction with PA / gametime or any other combination of database / HUD. You can narrow an opponents hand range by looking at the stats displayed, e.g an opponent who plays like 16% of his hands and raises 5% of them preflop is more likely to hold a strong starting hand when raising preflop than an opponent who plays 75% of his hands and raises 35 % of them. AFAIK there's no room where opponents play with their hole cards exposed, and if there was, I'd guess you'd have to do the same. rgz, Mris |

Re: software to \'see\' others cards
Yeh I tried asking others through chat what they have when they push and for some reason they rudely never tell me. (although it could be because stars disallows chat when all-in. What I need to do is get everyones msn name before the game starts so I can msn them when the crucial moment happens)
I bought this book on ESP and am practicing using telepathy to 'query' their minds. What I do is write all hand combinations on a piece of paper, take a pen and close my eyes. Then chant 'what you got', 'what you got' and drop the pen on the paper. Then you choose the nearest possible 'hand fit'. It's amazing how often the results are accurate! |

I just pretend they're bluffing and push over the top. It actually works quite well.
