Default Re: weird AK spot, FT 3/6, results

results: I bet river, villain C/R, I called to see JJ.

thinking back to the turn, I'm wondering if checking behind, with the intention of calling a river bet, or betting a relative blank when checked to, isn't a better play? the board is coordinated, true, but unless villain was open-raising with a diamond suited connector, the coordination isn't helping. would people advocate checking through the turn here, hoping to SD for one more big bet?

No, because he could still have worse hands which have live outs against you--like KJs, AQ, maybe even an oddly played QQ. And that's just against his normal range, not counting the times he opened things up a bit and is holding QJ or a 9 or something else strange.
