Also, is this the chick from the blind date? If it is, then I'd like to quote one particularly important reply from that thread:

Why would you ask OOT when the answer is explicitly stated in the medication instructions?

from wiki: If a woman just starting the pill begins taking them within five days of the beginning of her menstrual cycle (the menstrual cycle begins on the first day of red bleeding), she will have pregnancy protection from the very first pill. If a woman begins taking the pill at another time in her menstrual cycle, she must use a different form of contraception for seven days.[44]

wait 28 days > wait 7 days > wait 0 days, but you're probably fine since she started when she did.

Every pill/patch/ring/whatever that I've seen has been "one week" if you started on the correct day. Don't know why the [censored] EVERYONE says one cycle.

[ QUOTE ] So the girl i've been dating finally went on the pill. Yee haw!!! No more condoms or "spray and pray". Her cycle just ended last sunday and she started per the instructions and it says "no secondary protection needed" if started day before cycle starts. Between that and her just getting back from working out of town for a week it was on big time last night and i trusted the instructions and let 'er rip big time. Oh God please no conception!!! I have Olympic gold medal class swimmers so i am a bit nervous. My 2 children were conceived on the first try and i knocked up a girlfriend a long time ago going porno style. Please let her aunt visit. Please let her aunt visit. Please..... [/ QUOTE ] One full cycle, or one month, is correct. Of course, accidents happen. But after a full cycle, the pill is 99 percent effective in preventing unwanted pregnancy. [/ QUOTE ] If used correctly. |
